ok, I'll start it off. Ive been looking at the cadences (all 7) and there's a couple a things pam wrote that dont make sense to me. I'm sure you guys know the feeling.

Tse Tse: in the 7th bar, there is some kinda weird left handed mute pattern, but i'm having trouble reaching my right hand all the way over to drum 4, and on the rare occaison i can get it there, the right mallet gets in the way of the left. In the 9th bar, i've been playing the really fast 32nd/48th note part RLRRRL. Are we supposed to be singling those? In the 15th bar, I've been playing the 60th note just like the snares, with my right hand crossed over to the spock drum and trying to pull out some threes. I dont know it that's right or not.

Haggis: i think the only question is in the 5th bar from the end, how the hell are you supposed to diddle sextuplets while moving around the drums. the only pattern i could get to work is some kinda weird cross-over/airplane pattern that i could barely get to work without the diddles.

those are the only questions i have for the moment, but dont feel like you have to answer them all at once. thanks

Hey, So I'll start with Haggis cause that is an easy fix. My freshmen year when we played the cadence we had cut the diddles. However I'm not sure if pam will want them in this year or not. The easiest way to play them rather than playing them as straight diddles... the two places where you have 2 notes on one drum after having 3 on the another(first two notes of beat two and first two notes of beat 4) play them as paradiddles. That will keep you from having to crossover and makes if flow really well.

As for GTTBF, check the drumline forum. Jiz posted the fixes to the mistakes which should answer your first question. For your second question, because there is no sticking written in play the way you see fit. Pam understands music is not something that is carved in stone and there is room for your personal adaptation to the part. If you think it's easiest to play it as a parradiddle then play it that way. We will make the final decision on that kind of stuff once the line is set and we can all discuss and take a vote on how to play things like that. You last question about the 5's. Once again is up to you. I elected to play it RLL-RLR-LRL-RLL-R that way i don't have to crossover at all. It does cause a small push coming off of the sixtuplet but I can deal with that better than the awkward crossover. Once again it is up to you though. Good luck with everything and let me know if you have anymore questions.
